Coletta and Brady’s anniversary session in Monument Valley was a BLAST of an adventure! They were on the return leg of their own journey when our paths crossed at Monument Valley. They had been on a road trip celebrating their first year of marriage and this anniversary session was the perfect way to end their trek.

Monument Valley Adventurous Anniversary Session

Alex and I were able to connect with them just outside of Monument Valley and we started their annivesary photos from there! We loved being able to share the first glimpse of the statuesque landscape together. This area is eye catching and beautiful to witness! There is a feeling of seclusion and serenity amidst the vast openness and lack of cell service. We listened as they both shared stories about some of their favorite parts of their anniversary trip. Alex and I enjoyed remembering our travels and discussing if we had adventured to some of the same attractions as well. After soaking up all of the juicy light up-close to the rock formations, we shifted focus to the road. We loved being able to turn our focus and capture the stunning monuments in the background.

Blue Hour + Longboard Adventures

Blue hour was my favorite part of our adventure here! What I’m referring to when I say blue hour, is right after the sun sets where the light is cool. You’re then able to create some of the most beautiful photographs! We got adventurous and fun, and incorporated a longboard into their photos along with their beautiful smiles. This was a shot that had haunted me in the best way for months. It was a dream to bring it all together with the perfect couple.
